The Montreux Healthcare Fund, through its operating company Active Care Group, has completed the acquisition of the Remeo Healthcare Limited business together with its purpose built centre in the South East for the care of patients requiring specialist respiratory services.
Remeo Healthcare Limited is at the forefront of care for complex respiratory patients and has a long-term contract with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust. The Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre is a unique facility within which patients can receive weaning, rehabilitation and home ventilation services, provided by the Lane Fox Respiratory Service as part of Guys & St Thomas Foundation Trust, in a purpose built unit outside of London but with the support of the NHS team. The acquisition of Remeo Healthcare Limited will allow the Fund’s operating company to offer an integrated care pathway by utilising The Active Care Group’s complex and in-home care divisions.
Oliver Harris, CEO, Montreux Capital Management stated: “The Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre is a purpose built facility with excellent care quality which has done some amazing work rehabilitating the most complex respiratory patients. The model has been applauded by many and has the opportunity to expand across NHS Foundation Trusts, offering real value to the NHS as a whole. The Active Care Group can also offer on-going care to the patients at the facility, providing the continuity that is so often missing from our healthcare system.”
Professor Nicholas Hart, Clinical Director of the Lane Fox Respiratory Service, said: “We have a long tradition of working successfully in partnership. This enable us to share our super-speciality knowledge and management expertise as well as learn from our partners.
“Since opening in 2014 the Lane Fox REMEO Respiratory Centre at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill has enabled more NHS patients to access our world class weaning, rehabilitation and home ventilation service.”
