Montreux Capital Management are pleased to announce that its Care Home Fund has received two £6m investments from the CCLA as it approaches its 3rd anniversary. This comes on the back of the introduction of the Distribution Share Class offering an annual yield of 7.5%.James Bevan, CIO of CCLA, has overseen a significant investment into the Montreux Care Home Fund. As a specialist discretionary Investment Manager, CCLA manages nearly £5bn of assets for charity, church and public sector clients.
Launched in July 2011, the Montreux Care Home Fund Has yielded excellent returns since its launch, providing a financial solution for care homes serving the needs of the rapidly aging population in the UK, investing in elderly healthcare facilities where a supply / demand imbalance has been identified. Montreux is the only care home fund that also manages the operations in-house across their portfolio of residential properties.
Oliver Harris, Managing Partner of Montreux Capital added: “It is a real testament to the model we have built that, at this relatively early juncture in the Fund’s cycle, we have received such a significant investment from such a well-respected Fund Manager. We anticipate that this could precipitate further institutional placements into the Fund, which will only serve to make the Fund even more successful than it has been to date.”
James Bevan commented: “We see care homes as an excellent long term opportunity to achieve high and inflation-linked returns with solid asset backing, and supported by the changing demographics in the UK. We believe that high care standards are what will determine success for businesses and for residents and we are delighted to be participating in a well-diversified and growing selection of homes with strong, focused, professional and caring management.”
As the elderly Healthcare sector is a fragmented market with many of the larger operators over-leveraged, the opportunity created by the large cash injection into the Fund could not be bigger.
