Montreux Capital Management (UK) was recently asked to attend an important roundtable discussion with Tracy Crouch, the Minister for Civil Society. The roundtable focused on shaping policy for Socially Responsible Investing, and Montreux’s call for better access to the more illiquid investments which are found in our space. Specifically, how FCA approved labelling might help investors distinguish socially responsible approaches from other, more conventional strategies.

Oliver Harris, CEO of Montreux Capital Management (UK) stated: “It is Montreux’s aim to shape the socially responsible investment universe, to allow a much broader audience to take advantage of the opportunity to put money to work in a responsible way. It is encouraging to see the Minister speaking to major participants in this space. We hope truly impactful investing in more illiquid projects will be a reality for more investors in the near future”.

With over a 90% return since its inception three years ago, Montreux has made clear it does not believe socially responsible investing has to be to the detriment of achieving a return.
